The one-paragraph verdict
Choose Parqet if most of your money sits in German brokers like Trade Republic, Comdirect, Scalable Capital or ING, you want automatic Autosync across the DACH broker set, a German tax dashboard, and a single wealth view that folds in cash, crypto, precious metals and real estate.
Choose StackViewer if you hold positions for months rather than minutes, run 2–4 brokers, and want to know whether your decisions were any good — not just what your balance is. This matters most for DEGIRO and Interactive Brokers users in Germany, who get Sharpe, Sortino, drawdown analysis and a real trading journal that Parqet does not offer.
If you are searching for a Parqet alternative, you are almost certainly in the DACH region, because that is where Parqet is strongest and best known. Before going further, it is worth being blunt about the boundary between these two products. Parqet is a wealth-visualisation and portfolio tracker built around German banking reality: it connects to the brokers Germans actually use, understands German dividend and tax treatment, and shows your entire net worth — securities, cash, gold, and even property — in one clean dashboard. StackViewer is a narrower, sharper instrument: a performance-and-behaviour lab for the accounts it can reach.
The honest headline for a German reader is this: StackViewer cannot connect to most German brokers. Our broker sync runs through SnapTrade, whose read-only OAuth network covers 31 brokers concentrated in the US, plus Interactive Brokers and DEGIRO. Trade Republic, Comdirect, Consorsbank, DKB, Flatex, Onvista, Smartbroker and Scalable Capital are not reachable from StackViewer today. If that describes your accounts, stop here — Parqet is the better fit and we will not pretend otherwise. But if you invest through DEGIRO or IBKR, keep reading, because that is exactly the gap where StackViewer gives you analysis Parqet simply does not build.

Who each tool is actually for
Choose Parqet if…
- Your accounts are mostly German brokers (Trade Republic, Comdirect, Scalable, ING, DKB) and you want Autosync to do the importing.
- You need a German tax dashboard that totals sales, dividends and withholding tax per year.
- You want your whole net worth — cash, crypto, gold, real estate — in one place, with native apps and home-screen widgets.
Choose StackViewer if…
- You invest through DEGIRO or Interactive Brokers and want risk-adjusted analysis Parqet doesn't build.
- You suspect your exits are costing you more than your picks are earning.
- You set rules for yourself and want to see, in numbers, how often you break them.
Where Parqet is the better tool
For a German investor, Parqet wins on the things you will use every week. Its Autosync connects directly to the German broker set — Trade Republic, Comdirect, Consorsbank, ING, Scalable Capital, DKB, Flatex and more — which StackViewer simply cannot reach through SnapTrade. That single fact decides the comparison for most DACH readers. On top of that, Parqet has a proper German tax dashboard that adds up realised gains, dividends and withholding tax by year, which is genuinely useful at Steuererklärung time and something StackViewer does not attempt at all. Parqet also treats your whole balance sheet as one portfolio: cash accounts, crypto, precious metals and even real estate are first-class assets with their own valuations, whereas StackViewer deliberately excludes non-broker and custom assets from its analytics. Add native iOS and Android apps, home-screen widgets, an ETF X-Ray that looks through your funds to real country and sector weights, and a dividend forecast, and Parqet is the more complete tracker. If your question is “what do I own and what will it pay me”, Parqet answers it better.
The real difference
Parqet answers “what do I own, and how is it doing?” StackViewer answers a harder question: “were my decisions any good?” Those are not the same tool. Parqet shows you performance, allocation and dividends across everything you hold. StackViewer takes the accounts it can reach — and for a German reader that means DEGIRO and Interactive Brokers — and runs the analysis a broker statement never gives you: a true money-weighted return blended across accounts, Sharpe and Sortino ratios so you can see whether your return actually justified the volatility, maximum drawdown and Value at Risk, and a trading journal where you tag each position with the reason you bought, your conviction level, and the emotion you felt. Months later, StackViewer shows you the pattern: that your “high-conviction” trades underperform your quiet ones, that you exit winners three weeks too early, that fear-tagged sells cost you a measurable amount in opportunity cost. Parqet, by design, does not go there — independent German reviews note plainly that it has no risk analysis. If you are a DEGIRO or IBKR investor in Germany who already knows what you own and now wants to know why your returns look the way they do, that is the gap StackViewer fills and Parqet leaves open.
Switching from Parqet
Be realistic about this before you start. There is no one-click migration from Parqet, and Parqet does not hand you a portable transaction file that StackViewer imports, so “switching” really means connecting the accounts StackViewer can reach and rebuilding from there. If you hold through Interactive Brokers or DEGIRO, connection takes a few minutes: you authorise a read-only link via SnapTrade’s OAuth flow, and your current holdings and transaction history sync automatically, ready for analysis on the next sync cycle. If your brokers are the German set that Parqet handles, StackViewer cannot pull them in today — in that case, don't switch. The sensible move for many DACH investors is to run both: keep Parqet as your tax-and-net-worth tracker for the German accounts, and add StackViewer on top of your DEGIRO or IBKR account for the decision analysis. Nothing about our read-only access disturbs your Parqet setup, and you can disconnect at any time.
Frequently asked
- Is StackViewer a Parqet alternative?
- Partly. StackViewer is a decision-analysis and risk tool for investors running 2–4 brokers, not a German tax tracker. If you use DEGIRO or Interactive Brokers, StackViewer connects them read-only and gives you Sharpe, Sortino, drawdown and a trading journal that Parqet does not offer. If most of your accounts are German brokers like Trade Republic, Comdirect or Scalable Capital, Parqet's Autosync coverage is far better than ours and it remains the more practical choice.
- Can I move my data from Parqet to StackViewer?
- There is no direct import from Parqet, and Parqet does not export a portable transaction file that StackViewer reads. If your broker is one of our 31 supported via SnapTrade (Interactive Brokers, DEGIRO and most US brokers), you connect it read-only and your holdings and history sync automatically in a few minutes. German brokers without a SnapTrade connection cannot be brought in today.
- Which is cheaper?
- Both have a genuine free tier. StackViewer's free plan includes broker sync and the full risk metric set with no card required. Parqet's paid Plus tier is €9.99 per month and Investor is €29.99 per month (as of 9 September 2026), unlocking X-Ray, dividend forecast and benchmark comparison. On like-for-like analytics StackViewer is cheaper; for German tax reporting Parqet earns its fee.
