The one-paragraph verdict
Choose Delta if you live on your phone, hold a lot of crypto across exchanges and wallets, and want a polished, real-time view of everything you own in one beautifully-made app. Delta (now "Delta by eToro") is the more mature mobile product and covers far more asset types than StackViewer does.
Choose StackViewer if you hold positions for months rather than minutes, run 2–4 brokers, and want to know whether your decisions were any good — not just what your balance is.
People searching for a "Delta app alternative" or a "Delta investment tracker alternative" usually fall into two camps. The first camp loves the Delta app but has outgrown it: they want real risk metrics, a proper trading journal, and an answer to the question "am I actually a good investor, or have I just been lucky in a rising market?" The second camp finds Delta too crypto-heavy or too focused on live prices for the way they actually invest — a few brokerage accounts, held for years, checked once a week. This page is written honestly for both, and it will happily send you back to Delta if that is the right call.
We waited to publish this until StackViewer's iOS app was live, because the obvious objection to any "Delta alternative" is "but Delta has a great app" — and it does. So let's deal with that head-on rather than pretend it doesn't matter. Delta's app is genuinely excellent; StackViewer's is new and deliberately narrower. What StackViewer adds is a layer Delta doesn't try to build: the analysis of your decisions. If you want a tracker, Delta is superb. If you want a coach that grades your entries, exits and the rules you set for yourself, that is a different product, and that is what StackViewer is.

Who each tool is actually for
Choose Delta if…
- Crypto is a big part of your portfolio and you need exchange, wallet and on-chain coverage in one place.
- You want a best-in-class phone app with live prices, widgets, alerts and a clean daily dashboard.
- You track many asset types — forex, commodities, NFTs, futures, options — and want them all under one roof.
Choose StackViewer if…
- You hold across 2–4 brokers and have never had one true return number.
- You suspect your exits are costing you more than your picks are earning.
- You set rules for yourself and want to see, in numbers, how often you break them.
Where Delta is the better tool
Let's not be coy about it: on several things that matter, Delta wins, and if those are your priorities you should pick Delta. First, breadth. Delta connects to more than 10,000 brokers, exchanges, banks and wallets and tracks stocks, ETFs, crypto, forex, commodities, NFTs, bonds, futures and options. StackViewer connects to 31 brokerages via SnapTrade and deliberately stays in the equities-and-funds lane; it is not the tool for a crypto-heavy portfolio spread across half a dozen exchanges and a couple of cold wallets. Second, the mobile experience. Delta's apps are mature, fast and well-loved (roughly a 4.7 App Store rating across thousands of reviews), with home-screen widgets, custom price alerts, a personalised daily recap and real-time quotes on its PRO tiers. StackViewer's iOS app is new in 2026 and intentionally narrower — it surfaces your analytics, it does not try to be a live-price cockpit. Third, live pricing: Delta refreshes in real time on paid plans, whereas StackViewer updates values roughly every 30 minutes and is explicitly not built for day traders or intraday monitoring. Fourth, tax and gains reporting: Delta PRO's Gains Reporting gives you realized and unrealized gains, cost basis and exportable reports for your records, which StackViewer does not offer at all. If your shortlist is "great app, broad crypto, live prices, exportable gains," that shortlist is describing Delta, and we would rather you knew that now than after switching.
The real difference
Here is the honest boundary. Delta answers "what do I own and what is it worth right now?" superbly. StackViewer answers a different question: "were my decisions any good, and what pattern keeps costing me money?" Delta's "Good & Bad Decisions" feature nods in this direction, but it is a summary, not a workflow. StackViewer is built around the trade as a decision you can learn from. Every position you log carries a reason, a conviction level and an emotion tag, so months later you can filter every trade you entered out of FOMO, or every one you sold in a panic, and see what it did to your returns. It grades your entries and exits, estimates the opportunity cost of selling early, and measures how faithfully you stuck to the rules ("playbook") you set yourself. On top of that sits a proper risk layer — Sharpe, Sortino, Alpha, Beta, Max Drawdown and Value at Risk across your whole household of brokers — benchmarked against the S&P 500, NASDAQ, MSCI World and seven others. Delta gives you weighted beta and a portfolio P/E against SPY; useful, but a fraction of the risk picture. In short: Delta is a magnificent dashboard; StackViewer is a coach with a spreadsheet. Many of our users keep Delta on their phone for the live crypto view and use StackViewer for the monthly "how am I actually doing?" review. That's a perfectly sensible way to run it.
Switching from Delta
There is no button that lifts your Delta history into StackViewer, and honestly you don't need one. Because StackViewer reads directly from your brokerages over read-only OAuth, you just connect the same equity brokers you already hold at and it pulls your current positions and whatever transaction history the broker exposes — no CSVs, no manual re-entry. The catch is coverage: anything Delta tracks that StackViewer's 31 supported brokers don't — most crypto exchange balances, wallets, forex, commodities, NFTs — will not come across, so if those are core to you, keep Delta for them. The realistic path for most people is not "switch" but "add": leave Delta where it is for the live, all-asset view, and connect your brokers to StackViewer to get the risk metrics and decision analysis on top. Start with the free plan, connect one broker, and see whether the analysis tells you something Delta never did. If it doesn't, you've lost nothing but ten minutes.
Frequently asked
- Is StackViewer a Delta alternative?
- Partly. Delta is a mobile-first, multi-asset tracker with a huge crypto catalogue and real-time prices on its paid tiers. StackViewer is a portfolio tracker and trading journal for buy-and-hold investors who run 2–4 brokers and want proper risk metrics and decision analysis. If you mostly want a slick phone app that shows live crypto and stock values, Delta is the better fit. If you want to know whether your decisions were any good, StackViewer is the alternative worth trying.
- Can I move my data from Delta to StackViewer?
- There is no direct Delta-to-StackViewer export. In practice you do not migrate history at all: you connect the same brokerages to StackViewer through read-only OAuth and it pulls your positions and available transaction history directly from the broker. Crypto exchange and wallet holdings that StackViewer's 31 supported brokers do not cover will not carry over, so many Delta users run both for a while.
- Which is cheaper?
- Both have a genuinely free tier. Delta Basic is free with unlimited connections; Delta PRO and PRO+ are paid in-app subscriptions whose price varies by store and region. StackViewer has a free-forever plan with no card, plus a paid plan. Price alone should not decide it — they do different jobs. Check current Delta pricing in your app store, as it is not fixed on the marketing site.
