In short
StackViewer connects to BUX through SnapTrade using read-only OAuth. It imports your BUX positions — shares, ETFs, ETCs and fractional units — along with your trade history, cash balances and dividends, then merges them with your other brokers into one euro-denominated portfolio. From there it works out your true, time-weighted return and analyses the decisions behind it. Connecting BUX is free, and BUX is one of the few EU-domiciled brokers StackViewer supports directly.
What syncs from BUX
Positions
Your full BUX holdings — individual shares, EU-listed and US stocks, ETFs and ETCs — including the fractional units BUX is built around. Each line comes across with quantity, average cost and current value, refreshed through the trading day.
Trade history
Every executed buy and sell, including recurring Investment Plan purchases, with price, size, timestamp and the market it filled on. This is what StackViewer turns into a trade-by-trade journal.
Cash & balances
Your uninvested euro balance and any cash-interest accrual from BUX Plus or BUX Prime, so your allocation and cash drag are counted honestly rather than ignored.
Dividends
Cash dividends paid into your BUX account are imported and folded into one combined dividend calendar and income total across all your brokers.
What does not come across: BUX is a mobile-only, execution-only app with a deliberately narrow product range — there are no bonds, mutual funds, options or leverage products to sync, because BUX does not offer them. Your BUX subscription tier (Basic, Plus or Prime), Investment Plan schedules (the future recurring orders, as opposed to trades already executed), in-app watchlists and price alerts stay inside BUX. Historical trades reach as far back as BUX exposes over the connection; if you opened your account years ago, the earliest activity may not be fully represented, so check the first imported date before trusting long-run figures.
Sync runs three times a day and position values refresh about every 30 minutes during market hours. StackViewer is not a real-time tool and is not built for day trading — which suits BUX's months-to-years, plan-based investor base well.
What BUX's own reporting doesn't show you
BUX is designed to make investing feel effortless, and that clean, beginner-friendly app is its strength — but it is also execution-only and mobile-first, with no desktop view and no deep analytics. It shows you a holdings list, a simple value line and your recent orders. What it does not show is a time-weighted return that strips out the effect of your deposits: because so many BUX users invest through recurring Investment Plans, the raw "value went up" figure is heavily distorted by how much and how often you paid in. StackViewer separates the money you added from the money your investments actually made, so you can see whether your euro-cost-averaging is working or just accumulating.
BUX also shows nothing about risk or about the quality of your decisions. StackViewer adds 15+ risk metrics — Sharpe, Sortino, Alpha, Beta, Max Drawdown and Value at Risk among them — and lets you tag each trade with the reason, conviction level and emotion behind it. Over a few months that reveals the patterns BUX can never surface: the high-conviction buys that paid off, the panic sells during a dip, and the FX cost quietly eating into your US-stock returns (BUX charges a currency conversion fee on US trades, from 0.75% on Basic down to 0.20% on Prime, as of 2026-09-10 per BrokerChooser). Seeing that drag in one place is often the single most useful thing a BUX investor gets from StackViewer.
Also use DEGIRO?
Plenty of Dutch and wider-EU investors start on BUX for its simplicity and recurring Investment Plans, then open a DEGIRO account for its far broader universe — bonds, a much larger stock and ETF selection, and lower headline fees on larger orders. It is one of the most common pairings we see in the region, precisely because the two brokers cover different needs: BUX for easy, automated, fractional investing; DEGIRO for breadth and cost on bigger positions. Connect both and StackViewer produces a single time-weighted return across the two accounts, a combined diversification score, and one dividend calendar — rather than two apps you mentally add together.

Is it safe to connect BUX?
The connection is read-only OAuth through SnapTrade. You log in on BUX's own site — StackViewer never sees your credentials and never stores them. The token that comes back can read positions and history and nothing else: StackViewer cannot place a trade or move a euro, and no trading permission is requested at any point. You can revoke access from inside BUX whenever you want, and if a consent expires you simply reconnect with a fresh read-only login — no data is lost.
Data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.2+ in transit, authentication runs on AWS Cognito with optional TOTP MFA, and you can export everything to CSV or delete your account at any time. Full detail on the security page.
Which other brokers can you connect?
StackViewer supports 31 brokers — BUX is one of the few EU-domiciled ones we cover directly, alongside DEGIRO.
